President James Madison on Dec. 11, 1816, signed the congressional resolution admitting Indiana as the 19th state to join the Union. Indiana’s waterfront runs 41-miles along Lake Michigan and has played a major role in America’s industrial base. While most often associated with steel production and fabricated structural steel products, Indiana also has many oil refineries as well as plants that produce automobile parts, mobile homes, truck and bus bodies, aircraft engines, and heavy machinery. Indiana is also a leading producer of agriculture, in particular corn and soybeans. Indiana is also a major source in the US of limestone used in construction and also a large producer of coal.

The Secretary of State of Indiana issues what they call a Probationary Driver’s License
If you are 16 or 17 when you obtain your Indiana driver’s license, your license is considered probationary until you turn 18 years old.
Indiana requires that drivers carry Liability coverage with the following minimum limits:
$25,000 Bodily Injury per person, $50,000 Bodily Injury per accident, and $10,000 Property Damage.
